X-Tec is a long-range IoT platform that I designed for environmental monitoring in remote areas. It combines battery-powered sensor nodes with LoRa communication and a rugged gateway that forwards data over the cellular network to an MQTT dashboard for analysis and visualisation.
Designed a custom sensor node PCB integrating temperature, humidity and CO₂ measurement, with expansion headers for additional modules. The node uses a LoRa radio to send data to the gateway while remaining low-power and easy to deploy in the field.
Developed a rugged gateway that receives LoRa packets from the sensor nodes and forwards them over a cellular connection (SIM card) to an MQTT broker. This allows remote monitoring, data logging and integration with dashboards or automation platforms.
